Welcome to Charming Hutto

March 9, 2016

The more time we spend in Hutto, the more we fall in love with this city and its charm! The goal of this blog post and image gallery is to introduce Hutto and share the 'hidden gems' that are located just outside of Austin with our prospective clients. With guests traveling from the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, our venue is just 20-25 minutes away and an extremely easy drive via TX-130. One Eleven East and its neighboring storefronts in Old Town may have originally been built in 1893, but our venue has the modern conveniences of Hampton Inn & Suites that recently opened in September 2015 and Holiday Inn Express, both located just a mile away. If you would like a traditional church ceremony - oh my goodness - there is not one but two of the most charming white churches within minutes of our venue - because you know if you are hoping to get married at One Eleven East, you love the color white & historic buildings! Hutto United Methodist Church was built in 1910 by local German & Scandinavian craftsmen and features the original wood floors, stained glass windows and an absolutely stunning ceiling hand-painted with gold detail; the exterior and interior totally wow'ed us when we toured! Located just two blocks away, Hutto Lutheran Church is also completely charming with a traditional steeple and plenty of beautiful photography opportunities! Built in 1892, the church features traditional wood pews, stained glass windows and white walls and ceiling beams - it's so lovely. Hutto is also home to silos and a large lawn area at the city-owned Gin Building, which are wonderful photo-ops and also our overflow parking area that is walking distance to our venue. The historic space is a canvas and there are many opportunities nearby to incorporate into your special day - now make it yours! Welcome to charming Hutto.
